In alignment with the establishment of other Cantonment Public Schools and colleges across the country, the inception of Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College took place. The construction of this educational institution was made possible through financial support from the Bangladesh Government, orchestrated by the Defense Ministry following the approval of The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).
Situated in Bandarban, a district where a population of three hundred and seven thousand resides in an environment of peaceful co-existence, this educational facility aims to address the educational needs of the region. The unique landscape, encompassing mountains and the flowing river Sangu, contributes to the natural beauty of this mountainous district.
Bandarban is recognized for its harmonious co-existence of eleven distinct ethnic communities alongside the Bangalees, fostering a reputation for communal harmony. Despite this, the district has been perceived as lagging in education compared to other regions in the country. Recognizing the importance of holistic development, Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College was established to bridge this educational gap.
Inaugurated on February 8, 2007, by the then Chief of Army, General Moin U Ahmed, the institution commenced its academic endeavors on February 11, 2007, marking a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities in the district.
